Job Title: Senior Policy A&A Security Analyst
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Work Location: Hybrid in Alexandria, VA

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Policy A&A Security Analyst to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of security measures to protect the organization’s computer networks and sensitive information. You will ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard critical digital assets and electronic infrastructure while responding effectively to security breaches and threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of management and technical security controls to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor operational system data to verify that security controls are functioning as intended and compliance objectives are being achieved.
  • Support the creation, review, and maintenance of internal security policies, procedures, and process documentation.
  • Apply advanced principles and best practices for implementing information security standards, including NIST, FISMA, ISO 27001, and related frameworks.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with system owners, engineers, and compliance stakeholders to drive improvements in cybersecurity maturity.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in information security or related fields. Proven track record of implementing and monitoring security measures.
  • Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity requirements, including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FISMA, and related policies.
  • Demonstrated experience with control assessments, compliance monitoring, and policy development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to leadership.

Certification(s):

  • Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $101,258 - $112,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
