Position Summary:

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a bold impact as part of our dynamic new Ambient Foods business within Global Culinary Kitchen. You’ll lead the charge in bringing innovation and fresh ideas to the ambient space—spanning noodles, ready-to-eat meals, and cooking solutions. The challenge is clear: deliver against ambitious growth targets while shaping long-term brand-building strategies that redefine the category. As a Brand Expansion Sr. Associate, you will drive long-term brand growth (3+ years), focusing on new brand/category whitespace, business models, and technology. You will build a pipeline of innovation and opportunities for the Market Business Strategy, including identifying new portfolio opportunities and potentially supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consumer & Customer Intimacy:

    • Develop a deep understanding of consumer demographics, psychographics, occasions, and behavioral drivers using data and research.
    • Leverage data and trends to generate insights for marketing innovation, brand building, and retail programs.
    • Collaborate with Insights partners to chart strategic courses for category, portfolio, and brand.
    • Identify and address knowledge gaps to build a learning plan with Shopper Marketing and Consumer Market Research.
  • Business Planning:

    • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize portfolio and value chain.
    • Incorporate new approaches to brand innovation, including new business models, distribution strategies, M&A, licensing, and partnerships.
    • Generate and validate concepts with consumers to identify winning platforms for long-term growth.
    • Review long-term plans against market realities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Brand & Product Experience:

    • Manage brand projects and assignments, activating key consumer insights in strategy and innovation.
  • Commercial Excellence:

    • Build business plans and lead commercialization for new product opportunities with cross-functional teams.
    • Manage new product and program handoffs to ensure smooth transitions for launches.

 

Key Activities Include:

  • Long-term strategy (MBS), sustainability, M&A targeting, new business models, insights & analytics, product innovation, category expertise.

 

Qualifications / Certifications:

  • University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship building, research, and strategic analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to change.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

 

Critical Experiences:

  • 3–5 years of experience in product or brand management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams toward brand goals.
  • Experience developing strategic plans, communication campaigns, or commercialization strategies.
