About The Role

Chanel Parfums Beauté is seeking an energetic, purpose-driven Social Sustainability Senior Program Manager to participate in the development and deployment of the company’s social sustainability strategy, a key pillar of the broader House Sustainability ambition.

The role will report to the Sustainability Director within the Sustainable Practices & Compliance team but will work cross-functionally with key functions and regions to scale and sustain social change across our value chain.

The impact you can create at Chanel:

1.     Strategy building – Coordinate research and analysis on emerging human rights issues in a constantly evolving social and environmental landscape, and work with key functions to develop a comprehensive social sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with UNGPs and other relevant international frameworks.

2.     Program animation -- Animate the deployment of the social sustainability strategy, working with key business functions and partners to drive progress across the value chain, including on issues such as fair wages, skills or gender equity.

3.   Due diligence management: Coordinate internal efforts to implement human rights due diligence across our value chain.

4.     Reporting – Contribute to the annual extra-financial reporting of Social Sustainability performance for Chanel Parfums Beauté, in support of the Sustainability Performance team.

What you will bring :

• Significant work experience in Social Sustainability, Human Rights or ethical sourcing and trade within the private sector, with an excellent understanding of the core Business & Human Rights standards and how to embed them from an operational standpoint.

• Technical expertise on social sustainability, human rights or worker welfare topics such as fair wages, gender equity, or indigenous peoples and local communities’ rights, with a proficient knowledge of impact program typologies, methodologies and tools.

• Track record of successful program management and delivery, coordinating multiple contributors, workflows and projects.

• Fluency in French and English, with demonstrable spoken and written communication skills, editing and proofreading skills, as well as attention to detail. 

• Previous experience working with or for a Civil Society Organisation or an NGO involved in social impact work would be a plus.
