Job Description

We are seeking a Project Accountant to focus on offering support to our teams of technology consultants, allowing them to manage their projects more effectively.

This is a full time permanent role (40 hrs pw, Mon to Fri) and operating on a hybrid working pattern between our Boston Studio and home.

This position supports the accounting and finance functions as well as the project management group to process invoices, monitor collections, interact with clients and vendors, for all projects for the Boston Intelligence practice which includes satellite operations in DC metro area.

Our Boston office is located in the hub of the Financial District which can be easily accessed by bike, car and public transportation. Faneuil Hall and the North End are nearby and home to many food trucks and other amazing eateries.

The value you'll add

• Project oversight and financial / profitability monitoring within our integrated project management software
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Directors and Clients on all aspects of invoicing and issuing of billings in a timely fashion
• Maintain and update project reporting information using Power BI tools
• Work with our Collections Specialist to help forecast timing of invoicing and estimated collection dates

Qualifications

We'd like to see

• A degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business (with a focus on accounting)
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ work experience within invoicing for professional services (both public and private sectors)
• Experience with integrated project accounting software is extremely beneficial – we operate within BST
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced to intermediate ability in Excel and Word
• Superior organizational ability and a sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Both independent working and in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing environment
