Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

What You’ll Do

The Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor will lead their team to ensure continuous presence at the CDC to maintain the facility to keep it operational such as: Automated equipment, Cable Cutting equipment, Dock and loading equipment, rolling stock, batteries and chargers, warehouse shelving, packaging equipment, and recycling equipment

• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed as scheduled. 
• Respond quickly to calls and communicate to supervisors based on the state of the situation.
• Coordinate visits from external firms when needed to keep equipment operational.
• Keep inventory of spare parts.
• Maintain and repair Automated Order Preparation System.
• Maintain and repair Cable Cutting System.
• Maintain and repair Rolling Equipment-Reach, Order-Picker, Counter Weights, Carts, and Sweeper Scrubber.
• Maintain and repair Dock Doors.
• Maintain and replace batteries and chargers.  Check water levels and cables.
• Keep inventory of racking system and replace when necessary.
• Maintain and repair recycling and waste compactors
• Assess building systems to plan and assign work schedules.
• Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
• Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections.
• Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
