Department Overview
The Land Rights permitting team operates within the Land Management organization. The team provides subject matter expertise for Caltrans and Railroad Permitting. The team permits over 6000 projects each year with Railroad and Caltrans Agencies.
Position Summary
The Program Manager, Principal – is responsible for the acquisition of Caltrans and Railroad permits for PG&E and customer projects. This team negotiates annual permits and processes with Rail agencies and Caltrans. leading all aspects of the emergency response process for Land Management. Program management in PSPS events is a primary function, while also preparing and leading through all emergency responses.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.

This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

Job Responsibilities
• Plans and manages the PSPS program.
• Manages resources both internal and external to be prepared for emergency response situations.
• Interacts with stakeholders to develop best practices and process improvement initiatives.
• Project Management: Lead projects, determining scope, budget, timeframes, forming teams, assigning tasks, managing resources and issues.
• Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Advises business leaders and addresses business issues, trends and opportunities.
• Coaches staff on emergency response best practices.
• Builds and holds team accountable to provide excellent customer service to our emergency management clients.
Qualifications
Minimum
• Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years’ of related work experience.
