Dynanet Corporation is looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team! The Database Administrator will be able to support almost all databases, such as Windows and Linux-based, AWS RDS, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle databases, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Golden Gate, Trustwave DBProtect, DataSunrise, other Oracle tools and management suites.

Responsibilities:

· Provide database administration (to include RDS), maintenance, and optimization support for AWS (or future cloud provider), MySQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, Microsoft SQL instances and any new Relational Database Management System Software (RDBMS).

· Document a strategy, develop a plan, and implement and maintain a more robust database-managed environment, in line with industry’s best practices.

· Provide support for installation, configuration, and migration, and perform day-to-day troubleshooting and performance monitoring of Database Management Systems (DBMS) and databases.

· Identify bottlenecks, capacity issues, operating system, and database software-configuration issues, and remedy them.

· Proactively tune the database

· Install and perform full testing of new releases.

· Implement all relevant security patches and other-directed security measures

· Test backup, recovery, and restoration plans for databases.

Technical Environment:

The current environment contains the following types of systems:

· Windows and Linux-based, AWS RDS, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle databases

· Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Golden Gate, Trustwave DBProtect, DataSunrise, other Oracle tools and management suites

· Code developed with SQL, ASP, .NET, VB, and JAVA scripts

Administrative Tasks:

· Perform health checks

· Provide metrics on performance

· Provide application/system support

· Maintain policy servers
