Description:

Johnson Memorial Hospital the PACU Unit provides post-anesthesia care to patients and asses their status to ensure they safely regain consciousness, monitor, and look for signs of difficulty breathing, raising blood pressure, hypothermia, and agitation. What you will do

In this critical role you will assist in creating and managing nursing care plans and will participate in the evaluation of current and future medical needs of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program.  BSN graduate preferred.

  • Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.

  • Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC). ACLS & PALS required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience: Previous Critical Care experience preferred. Requires the ability to practice utilizing ASPAN (America Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) recommended standards and practice.  Specialty certification preferred.

Work Schedule: Per Diem.  Call Rotation.
