Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support our Technology and Development team.  

The SDET must work well in a cutting-edge, technology-driven environment. We are looking for someone who will take on the creating of automated tests for our web applications. This individual will also ensure these tests are coordinated with changes in code, as well as warrant that all user stories and features are covered in these tests. In addition, this person will oversee test coverage throughout the entire application.   

Roles & Responsibilities  

• Design, Setup, maintain and implement automated test frameworks on application platforms  
• Improve testability of software by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines 
• Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components  
• Understanding of project documents, demands and product objectives to create and execute test cases  
• Building and maintaining test scenarios and acceptance tests   
• Recording of all test actions you have performed in daily and weekly reports   
• Researching test tools, methodologies and trends, and upgrading existing practices and processes  
• Managing final quality upon production release  

Qualifications  

• Strong coding background with prior experience as a software engineer/developer 
• Proficiency with Node JS, JavaScript. Knowledge of PHP   
• Proficiency with Jest, experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright 
• 3-5 years of planning, building, and orchestrating software testing frameworks  
• Experience writing test plans, test automation and test cases  
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, automation and operations 
• Experience with test management software such as TestRail, TestComplete, or Testmo 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills  
• Ability to work well in a team environment   
• Strong organization and time management skills  
• BS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
