Pediatric Oncology Program Manager, Cancer & Blood Disorders Center

The Program Manager I is responsible for management of a specific program or group of programs in a specialty/functional area including scheduling and budgeting activities, working in collaboration with leaders to implement the program's objectives in support of identified goals and the continuous improvement process. Responsible for monitoring the program's effectiveness and mobilizing stakeholders in support of continuous improvement to the program. Organizes interdepartmental activities, ensuring ongoing effective program operation and/or implementation. Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance or expand the program and presenting proposals to management. Oversees the process of executing initiatives essential for the success of the program, including communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external. May oversee and lead teams in support of the program's objectives.

We are seeking a Pediatric Oncology Program Manager to join the Cancer & Blood Disorders Center (CBDC). This is a vital, multi-faceted position that will support three key programs:

  Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) / Fertility Program:  Manage and help execute strategic initiatives for our AYA and fertility preservation initiatives, focusing on patients ages 15–39.

•  

  Cancer Predisposition Program: Support the operations and development of our clinic for patients with a genetic predisposition to cancer.

•  

  Long-Term Follow-Up Program: Help coordinate and advance survivorship care for patients who have completed cancer treatment.

This is a highly collaborative role that is both internally and externally facing. You will work closely with a diverse group of clinical and administrative staff, as well as with external community partners. A key component of this position is the facilitation and management of our Parent Advisory Board and Adolescent and Young Adult Advisory Board.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management & Development: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AYA/Fertility, Cancer Predisposition, and Long-Term Follow-Up programs. This includes strategic planning, program reporting, managing donor funds, identifying opportunities and partnerships for growth and improvement, as well as identifying opportunities for research collaborations and development.

  Patient & Family Support: Coordinate and streamline fertility preservation consultations and patient care pathways. Organize and facilitate educational initiatives, peer support activities, and connections to survivorship resources.

  Community Engagement: Act as a key liaison between our institution and community partners. Facilitate and manage our Parent Advisory Board and Adolescent and Young Adult Advisory Board, ensuring their voices are heard and integrated into our program development.

  Collaboration & Leadership: Lead and foster collaborations with internal stakeholders across Seattle Children's and with external partners, including local, regional, and national AYA consortia. You will play a crucial role in fostering relationships and advancing the mission of our programs.
