Location: Remote (Preferred: Washington DC, VA, MD, MA)

Department: Sales

Reports To: Director of Sales or Chief Growth Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking an energetic, creative, and forward-thinking Inside Sales Team Lead (SDR/BDR) to join our rapidly growing SaaS company in a pivotal player-coach capacity. The ideal candidate has at least 2+ years of proven success as an SDR/BDR handling both inbound and outbound sales within a SaaS environment. While prior management or team lead experience is a plus, a strong track record as an individual contributor and genuine desire to step into a player-coach leadership role is essential.

As a Player Coach, you will actively prospect, qualify, and set meetings yourself while mentoring, coaching, and monitoring a growing team of SDRs and BDRs. You will be responsible for driving pipeline generation, cultivating a culture of excellence, and reporting on core performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively perform inbound and outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and driving pipeline—leading by example as an active contributor.

  • Coach, mentor, and train SDR and BDR team members through regular 1:1s, best practice sharing, and call reviews.

  • Monitor SDR/BDR metrics and KPIs; create and share regular team performance reports with leadership.

  • Foster a creative and innovative approach to prospecting, outreach, and campaign strategy.

  • Help build and refine outbound messaging, discovery call frameworks, and sequencing.

  • Be a subject matter expert in using tools like Salesforce, Gong, and sales engagement platforms.

  • Partner with sales leadership and marketing to optimize lead generation and follow-up processes.

  • Manage team scheduling, workload balancing, and support the onboarding and ramp-up of new hires.

  • Lead by example in upholding company values, and drive a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2+ years of successful SDR/BDR experience performing both inbound and outbound activities in a SaaS environment.

  • Prior team lead/management experience is desired, but a strong understanding of the IC (individual contributor) role and demonstrated leadership potential is required.

  • Passion for teaching, coaching, and proactively sharing best practices with team members.

  • Highly organized with the ability to create and maintain dashboards, reports, and regular metric reviews.

  • Creative, resourceful, and strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to problems and process improvement.

  • Skilled in Salesforce, Gong, and modern sales engagement tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Driven, positive, and collaborative—naturally lifts the performance of those around you.

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years as a successful SDR/BDR performing both inbound and outbound sales in a SaaS organization.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and conversational intelligence platforms (Gong or equivalent).

  • Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring and pipeline analysis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary plus performance-based incentives and stock options.

  • Comprehensive health plan for you and your loved ones.

  • Flexible (remote-first) work arrangements.

  • Extensive opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and advancement.

  • Be a ground-floor leader at a fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company.
