Switchboard Operator-Part-Time

Job Description:

Switchboard Operator-Full-Time

• Primarily responsible for answering and routing all calls.  Remains updated on all Code procedures (Code 1, Disaster, fire, bomb, electrical, etc.)  Responds to all alarms. 
•  Responsible for overhead paging. Requires incumbent to constantly remember multiple task.
•  Operating multiple screens. Functions as information desk.
•  Adheres to specific hospital policy and procedures.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the mission, vison and values of Baptist Health

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Minimum of one-year related experience preferred
• However, completion of a training course in operation of PBX or related equipment accepted.
• Additional training preferred with emphasis on commercial courses, particularly Typing and English.
• Will give on the job training.
• Computer skills helpful
