About the role

Responsibilities

The Program Support Coordinator at University Hospital’s Department of Community and Population Health will assist in the development and implementation of Community Health Programs, assist with Population Health initiatives, (e.g., Centering Programs), and work with community organizations on health needs assessments. This role involves program coordination, data management, fostering community relationships, and supporting grant writing efforts, ensuring effective program delivery and evaluation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or a related field required. CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) certification preferred. Master Degree in Public Administration, Health, or Business preferred. Experience with Centering Pregnancy and/or Centering Parenting programs preferred. Requires four (4) years of progressively more responsible professional experience, preferably in a health care environment, which includes experience in project coordination and assisting with the administration of specific programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, along with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and problem solve. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and stakeholders. Knowledge of community health principles and practices. Additional related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.
