Our Finance & Administration (F&A) team is seeking a full-time Shared Services Director to join our growth-oriented professional engineering and environmental consulting company. We are seeking a positive, self-motivated person who enjoys leading dynamic teams to deliver top-notch service to the business. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of Project Maintenance, Billing, Procurement and Accounts Payable for the entire enterprise. *Remote work allowed: This role will primarily work virtually, preference would be near any BC office such as Denver, Seattle, or Nashville.
What you will do:
- Provide leadership to the Finance & Administration (F&A) Shared Services team to ensure a positive work environment through coaching and feedback, training and development, conflict resolution, building trust and rapport, and celebrating successes.
- Ensure all team members have the skills and knowledge to perform all key tasks throughout periods of high and low demand, creating opportunities for everyone to contribute, learn and grow, and maintain a balanced workload.
- Enhance stakeholder satisfaction and prioritize their experience by aligning technology and processes with their needs and expectations.
- Analyze and document policies, processes, procedures, and operational methods to find opportunities for operational excellence via automation and process improvement.
- Partner with Digital Services, other F&A leaders, and other operations leaders to create and define an F&A Shared Services technology roadmap through an understanding of key F&A initiatives and business needs; translate those requirements to ensure technology needs are met and systems are built efficiently to support the organization.
- Research and perform benchmarking to stay current on F&A Shared Services technology trends.
- Be a change agent for new processes, technology, or policies including the development of user procedures, guidelines, communication strategies, training, etc.
- Maintain an understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements affecting applicable aspects of F&A processes and systems.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience related to Finance and Accounting operations.
- 6 or more years of leadership experience in an accounting Shared Services or customer service environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Solid knowledge of business information systems.
- Ability to understand business needs and how to leverage finance and accounting expertise to meet those needs; experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to interpret and communicate policies, programs, and procedures.
- Solid analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Ability to shift work focus and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel is required (0-20%).
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $ $141,000 - $193,000
Location B: $155,000 - $212,000
Location C: $169,000 - $231,000
