Role:
We are looking for an associate database engineer to provide solutions in maintain the best services and customer experiences through salesforce applications. Our team builds the critical services that keep our databases and applications running smoothly. You will help deliver reliable systems and scalable infrastructure to support customer success as priority. Your contribution will be instrumental in delivering groundbreaking technology, facilitating capacity management through intelligent, scalable data migration, and enhancing our cloud infrastructure.

Your Impact:

  • Come up with innovative ideas to improve performance, scalability and resilience in a large-scale platform

  • Implement comprehensive functional and system-test for your area of responsibility and for overall database quality

  • Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects

  • Actively participate in database automation and feature enhancement on premise and in Public cloud platform.

  • Responsibility and accountability for the availability and reliability of all Production Databases.

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to triage issues.

  • Define, develop and deploy system monitoring requirements/thresholds as well as corrective actions. Improve the system reliability via predictive analysis.

  • Collaborate with and provide detailed feedback to stakeholders on resiliency initiatives.

  • Participate in production Incident Management / Escalation Management call and be able to drive the incident to resolution.

  • Provide technical and platform support to multiple customers and stakeholders that use the production systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or Technical Field.

  • Experience managing production database on AWS, such as Postgres, Oracle, etc.

  • Experience in sql programming language and Postgres database management.

  • Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)

  • Experience in a Linux cloud environment with fluency in command line interfaces and shell scripting Bash, Shell

  • Python

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Containerized Database Management

  • Experience deploying database on EC2 in AWS

  • Spinnaker Pipeline
