About Us

The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and AtkinsRéalis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.

 

Under the general direction of the Civil Superintendent, the Civil General Foreperson will assist in the coordination and scheduling of removal and installation of Reactor Maintenance Platforms, and Feeder cabinets pertaining to all feeder related activities. The Civil General Foreperson will also coordinate the sequencing, install, and removal of temporary and permanent modifications to station equipment. The Civil General Foreperson will also status the work, in coordination with the project Series Leads.

 

What You'll Do Here 

•    Maintain excellent relationships with client, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and public
•    Responsible to ensure that all work is conducted in a safe manner in compliance with safety, quality, and human performance policies
•    In collaboration with the Series Lead. Utilize project master schedule to create detailed look ahead schedules for forecasting and planning 
•    Assist in developing recovery strategies when project schedule or budget are in jeopardy
•    Plan and approve the work of direct crew and subcontractors on the project including determining methods of construction, manpower levels, materials, tools & equipment, rentals and work schedules
•    Assume responsibility for the efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project
•    Ensure trades personnel complete all necessary training in areas of safety, quality assurance, technical qualifications, equipment operation and owner specified requirements
•    Ensure project is constructed in compliance with drawings, specifications, Comprehensive Work Packages (CWPs), Construction Inspection & Test Plans (CITPs) and project schedule and budget
•    Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with QA Programs and project quality guidelines
