Donaldson Chillicothe Missouri Operator Position

As a production operator you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing team environment focused on providing quality products for our customers. Role Responsibilities:

• Fabricate metal and or media-based parts at workstations to create small to medium sized assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools/machines, equipment with blueprints and route sheets.
• Paint and or assemble/package units too customer requirements/specifications and rework materials/assemblies when necessary. Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
• Lifting, moving, and standing at workstations. Operate multiple types of machinery to process materials/assemblies through facility.
• Inspect parts using quality inspection tools such as calipers, height gages, etc.
• Complete first piece inspections and non-conformance reports.
• Evaluate and calibrate parts in accordance with acceptance test procedures.
• Understand and follow work instructions and routings.
• Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT, Donaldson Safety Framework and environmental policies/laws/rules and company codes of conduct/procedures.
• Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education consisting of a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months experience in manufacturing or production/warehousing environment. Vocational training(certification) in building trades, automotive, or welding can be substituted for manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds routinely and stand/assemble product at workstations for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to inspect assemblies using quality inspection tools.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions.
• Ability to lift/carry assemblies and stand for extended periods at workstations.
• Ability to Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to react to change productively and to manage other tasks as assigned.
• Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees while following Donaldson company policies/procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal. Ability to Successfully complete a 90-day probationary period.
• Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance and available/willing to work on off (non-traditional hours) shifts. No more than two unexcused absences during 90-day probation.
• Experience and or certification operating a forklift/powered lifts.  

Pay Transparency:

This posting is to create a pool of applicants for Donaldson Chillicothe, Missouri first (5am-330pm Monday-Thursday) and second shift (3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday) operations. Overtime opportunities available (both voluntary & mandatory). Starting wage is $20.75 hourly during training and will increase to $23.23 (+.50 cents shift differential) after successful completion of 90-day probation. Union membership/dues required per the Chillicothe Business Agreement (contract) provisions after successful completion of probation.
