We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting organization at the Millersburg Facility in Albany, Oregon. This is an onsite position 5 days per week. Relocation assistance is available.

This role plays a critical part in driving accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and leading key initiatives that impact both plant operations and corporate finance. This is not just a role to perform accounting tasks — it’s a leadership opportunity to influence financial direction, mentor junior team members, and continuously improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform complex accounting functions including month-end and year-end close, general ledger oversight, and advanced balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and variance reports, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and internal reporting standards.
  • Act as the local financial lead for audit activities including internal, external, and SOX compliance reviews.
  • Guide and advise cross-functional teams on the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions, lease arrangements, and capital expenditures.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll, with an emphasis on technology optimization, automation, and control enhancement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Lease Accounting (ASC 842) — overseeing calculations, reconciliations, and disclosures.
  • Manage timely and accurate filing of state and local tax reports including Use and B&O taxes, and support broader tax compliance activities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis in support of strategic decision-making and plant operations leadership.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior accounting staff; assist in onboarding and development.
  • Build strong partnerships with operational leaders, supply chain, and corporate finance teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated mastery of US GAAP, including experience interpreting and applying technical accounting standards.
  • Strong experience with monthly/quarterly close processes, financial reporting, and reconciliation of complex accounts.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a self-directed approach to problem-solving and project execution.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and financial integrity.
