CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR AND DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL EDUCATION

The Ithaca College School of Health Sciences & Human Performance is seeking a Clinical Instructor and Director of Clinical Education for a full-time temporary (FTT) position from May 12, 2025 – June 30, 2026 in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. The successful candidate will teach assigned classes in speech-language pathology and serve as the Director of Clinical Education for the Ewing Speech & Hearing Clinic and off-site placements. The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for the clinical education component of the curriculum (including, but not limited to, clinical practicum and fieldwork placements and clinical supervision) and will be a member of a collaborative team engaging in the re-design of the clinical education curriculum. Qualifications: 

Minimum requirements: master’s degree in communication disorders; Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; New York State licensure in speech-language pathology; minimum of 3 years’ experience in provision of clinical service; at least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience; potential for excellence in teaching. Minimum of 2 hours continuing education in clinical supervision, per ASHA requirements. Preferred characteristics include: prior experience in academic teaching in postsecondary setting; administrative experience; experience in supporting inclusive health initiatives.

Hiring Rate:  $72,000
