ABOUT CASHION CULTURAL LEGACY
Cashion Cultural Legacy (CCL) is a vibrant nonprofit arts organization based in San José, California, dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of Mexican folk culture through the art of dance. CCL proudly supports two renowned performing companies, Los Lupeños de San José and Los Lupeños Juvenil, along with the community-focused Los Lupeños Academy, which offers accessible dance education to all.
Rooted in the legacy of the esteemed Dr. Susan V. Cashion, CCL fosters cultural exchange between California and México, nurturing creativity and artistic excellence through its innovative Artist Exchange program. With an emerging Publications venture, CCL is committed to expanding its reach and impact, sharing the beauty and diversity of Mexican folklórico dance with the world.

ABOUT THE ROLE & POSITION
The Executive Director (ED) of CCL will lead the organization through a dynamic period of growth and transformation, managing and expanding its staff (3 FT and 11 PT), and operating budget of $680,000. In order to advance CCL’s mission to preserve and celebrate Mexican folk culture through dance, the ED will in partnership with the Board and Artistic Director, create and implement the strategic vision, guiding program development and community engagement efforts while ensuring financial stability and growth through effective fundraising. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a deep passion for the arts, capable of inspiring the team and building strong community relationships. They will also navigate the challenges of leading a volunteer-based cultural arts organization and will have the ability to drive organizational processes, ensuring CCL’s continued impact in the community and beyond.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
STRATEGIC PLANNING – develops and implements the organization’s strategic plan and annual action plans in conjunction with the board.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT – develops, implements and supervises programs and services that are consistent with the organization’s mission and strategic plan and that meet the needs of participants and partners.
