POSITION SPECIFICS

The Animal Diagnostic Laboratory (ADL) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for laboratory clients and visitors. This position plays an essential role in ensuring efficient daily operations by providing exceptional customer service, assisting with case processing and documentation, and supporting administrative functions throughout the laboratory. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a welcoming and service-focused approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients through in-person and phone interactions, providing professional and responsive customer service.

  • Answer questions and direct inquiries appropriately to ensure clients receive accurate information and timely assistance.

  • Assist clients with completion of submission paperwork to support accurate diagnostic testing and reporting.

  • Coordinate with laboratory colleagues regarding specimen deliveries.

  • Enter cases into the laboratory information management system.

  • Organize, maintain, and file records to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.

  • Receive and document client feedback and support efforts to ensure an excellent customer experience.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service and/or administrative support.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and standard office software.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
