Job Description Summary

The Regional Vice President is responsible for achieving sales goals within a specified territory by providing sales and marketing support, customer service, and education on Transamerica products and services. Focus on driving revenue growth and supporting the sales of life products and fixed index annuity products for the WFG producers located in their assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a marketing plan to maintain and grow territory and assigned agencies/accounts.
  • Partner with assigned agencies/accounts to make Transamerica their carrier of choice.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of related sales concepts.
  • Work closely with Internal Sales Desk and Marketing to support agencies/accounts.
  • Maintain proactive, positive, and meaningful communication with agencies/accounts, home office, and other members of the sales team.
  • Maintain a regular rotation for responsible area of coverage.
  • Facilitate meetings as needed and schedule follow up appointments.
  • Attend appropriate meetings within assigned territory – agency, industry.
  • Work to best utilize resources from Home Office, Marketing, and Underwriting.
  • Train, educate, and support distributors within assigned territory.
  • Understand the operational aspects of major accounts.
  • Manage travel and expense in line with established budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent experience
  • Three years of insurance industry experience, including one year in wholesaling
  • Proven sales results
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Ability to learn and communicate Transamerica’s products, features, tools and services.
  • Basic computer knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • FINRA Series 6 and insurance licenses
  • Professional designations (CLU, ChFC, CFP, CLTC) 
  • Financial services/brokerage industry experience

Working Conditions

  • Office environment
  • Extensive travel (75%)
