Scope and Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to prepare and ship completed eyewear and receive and verify inbound merchandise deliveries.
Essential Functions
• Receives from the lab all jobs to be shipped and places in the correct bin according to the invoice wrapped around the eyewear.
• Prints shipping labels and packing lists.
• Processes all outbound orders for shipment, including packaging in appropriate carton and applying correct address label as required.
• Inspects incoming merchandise for proper quantities, damages, and/or expiration dates, as defined in the file copy of the purchase order (PO). Ensure packing slips and PO’s are routed to Accounts Payable for processing, noting any discrepancies found.
• Ships returns to manufacturer for repair, replacement or credit, as indicated.
• Assists with inventory tracking, related to cases, boxes, and shipping supplies.
• Operates and monitors computer system(s) used for shipping and tracking jobs.
• Generates daily reports for records of all shipped transactions.
• Tracks shipped jobs upon request, providing delivery confirmations as appropriate.
• Prints return labels as requested and ships to the provider offices.
• Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), prescribed safety and hazardous materials handling procedures, and Federal/State laws regulating hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Education & Experience
• High Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related manufacturing experience preferred.

As a component of job roles and responsibilities, Associates may have access to covered information, cardholder data or other confidential customer information which must be protected at all times. As a result, Associates must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Privacy & Security Training Program.
