As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Full Time in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances, screening areas, and restricted access points while following posted protocols and documenting unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or screening-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with supervisors, public officials, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access control, and/or security-related concerns.
• Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with company policy, licensing requirements, and site guidelines while remaining prepared to respond to escalated situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
