Position Summary
The Regional Trade Compliance Coordinator will support the ITT Flow Technologies sites located in Seneca Falls, NY, and Lancaster, PA to satisfy trade compliance requirements. This position is responsible for trade compliance processes, procedures, and performing daily activities to ensure the assigned sites effectively comply with all ITT Corporate and Flow Technologies trade compliance policies. Also responsible to ensure compliance with US Export Regulations as outlined by the US Department of Commerce (EAR), the Office of Foreign Asset Controls, and any other special trade programs/exporting regulatory requirements required for ITT international business. In addition, the role is responsible for providing guidance to the assigned sites' leadership team and site employees on matters relating to trade compliance and ensuring trade compliance work practices are consistently utilized throughout the assigned sites.
Essential Responsibilities
- The selected candidate will be responsible for export licenses, export commodity code classification (ECCN), deemed export compliance, correct schedule B
- The selected individual will work directly with the purchasing group to ensure proper handling of outsourcing activities as they relate to trade compliance, including classification and transfer of controlled technical data.
- Coordinate site-level actions necessary to complete license assessment for all new international orders and releasing them for processing.
- Licensing reviews for product shipments and technology transfers, including marketing materials, proposals, and engineering data. This can include transfer of technical data through engineering.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of all export-controlled trade compliance documentations i.e., commercial invoice, SLI, determination, and update of country of origin
- Support for Lancaster’s Export Trade Compliance Manager as required.
- Identify potential areas of trade compliance vulnerability and risk through reviews of orders prior to release to production and audits; work with local managers to develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problems, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future in coordination with the Export Trade Compliance Manager.
- Provide reports on an as-requested basis, to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of trade compliance efforts.
