Assistant Residential Director (Children’s Special Education Residential School)
Salary: $62,000 per year
Location: Greenfield, NH
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities? We’re seeking a dedicated Assistant Residential Director to join our leadership team at Crotched Mountain School, a program of Seven Hills New Hampshire.
About Crotched Mountain School:
Crotched Mountain School (CMS), a program of Seven Hills New Hampshire, hosts innovative special education, recreation, arts, music, and vocational programming for students, aged 5-21, who are on the autism spectrum, and/or have disabilities and other challenges that are better supported in an alternative, least-restrictive environment to their local public school system. Students have the option to live year-round in the appointed residences on the sprawling campus located in Greenfield, New Hampshire. Situated on thousands of acres of preserved habitat, CMS offers a therapeutic environment in which students are encouraged to explore and thrive.

About the Role:
As the Assistant Residential Director, you will provide supervision and leadership to our residential team, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for all students. You’ll play a critical role in overseeing treatment services, managing staff development, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Direct and support team leaders, case managers, and direct care staff to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Student Care: Promote positive staff-student interactions and ensure all services align with individual treatment plans.
- Staff Development: Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Program Oversight: Lead treatment planning, therapeutic programming, and ensure compliance with behavioral intervention policies.
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure all residential programs meet licensing and regulatory standards.
- Safety & Facilities: Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic living environment for students.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- 4+ years of residential management experience. (Or equivalent combination of degree/experience).
- Strong knowledge of interdisciplinary team leadership, treatment planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in staff development and creating positive team dynamics.
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and behavioral intervention strategies.
