Job Description:

Summary:

The Program Assistant supports the Skills Institutes in the School of International Service. These weekend courses are aimed at providing graduate students in international affairs with in-demand skills. Responsibilities:  

  • The incumbent supports Skills Institute faculty during, and prior to, instruction of the course.

  • The incumbent supports students in Skills Institutes by troubleshooting technological issues and other access challenges.

  • Complementing the AU-wide SETs, the incumbent surveys students and analyzes the data that these surveys produce.  

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:

  • Part-Time.

  • 10 hours per week.

  • This position requires regular weekend work (Saturday and Sunday).

Salary Range:

  • $17.95 - $18.50 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in working with events, professional communications, and/or research and evaluation. 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international affairs or education.

  • Experience working in higher education.

  • Demonstrated interest in experiential education.
