LEMOYNE / LEGENDS

Legends’ focus will be to enhance the athletics fundraising efforts for Le Moyne College. The planned renovations to the Niland complex will add to and upgrade fields, fitness and wellness facilities used by students, faculty and staff, as well as those living in the neighborhoods surrounding campus.  The partnership will allow for Le Moyne to accelerate its fundraising efforts across the entirety of the College. Legends will develop a sustainable fundraising approach to provide for annual gifts going forward, building a culture of athletic philanthropy that will develop a pipeline for major gifts in the future.  

THE ROLE   

The Director of Collegiate Fundraising at Le Moyne is principally responsible for the day-to-day management of the partnership between Legends and Le Moyne College. This role is principally responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed the stated goals of the partnership as it relates to major gift cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and engagement. This critical role will be focused on achieving the success of the Athletic Facilities campaign for Le Moyne. This role will be vital to developing the relationship between Legends and Le Moyne and ensuring that the culture remains innovative. To accomplish this, the Director will help shape our vision and execution for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, and how we are moving constituents along the engagement continuum.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Hire, train and manage Legends staff
  • Model projections, monitor metrics and communicate results
  • Develop and carry a portfolio of major gift prospects
  • Solicit and close major gifts
  • Optimize strategies and adapt to maximize success metrics
  • Manage day-to-day technology strategy and build-out
  • Attend meetings with Le Moyne on weekly, biweekly, quarterly & annual basis
  • Collaborate & strategize with Le Moyne staff
  • Understand Le Moyne fundraising strategies and execute major gift strategies in alignment with Le Moyne fundraising strategy
  • Establish and execute staff culture and professional development plan
  • Execute industry 1:1 communication best practices & tactics

 QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of fundraising/engagement management experience
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and team skills 
  • Proven ability to balance complex and often competing priorities
