Job Description
AV is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving and Inventory Associate to manage incoming shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure proper storage of materials. This role is essential to maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Operations
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Unload delivery trucks and transport materials to designated storage areas
- Identify and document damaged or incorrect items and coordinate returns with vendors
- Process receiving documentation in inventory management system
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and alert management to reorder needs
- Organize warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility
- Implement and maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation procedures
Documentation and Reporting
- Update inventory management software with accurate, real-time data
- Generate inventory reports for management review
- Maintain filing systems for receiving documents, invoices, and shipping records
- Track and report on inventory metrics and KPIs
Work Schedule
Full-time position, Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance as needed
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, receiving, or inventory management
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math skills and ability to perform inventory calculations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and OSHA standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Operate material handling equipment safely
- Work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures
Salary Range: $24.00 / hour
- The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The salary range for this role is:
