Your Specific Responsibilities:

Manage consultant contracts in accordance with applicable rules, laws and procedures.  Ensure the quality and timeliness of the work product meets customer expectations  Take action to correct any deficiency in service.

Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status.  Make/recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results.  Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process.  Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable and repeatable.

Provide materials and related technical support to customers as requested.  Provide support in time to meet the customer’s needs.  Provide guidance and training to customers.

Review Quality Control plans, Construction plans, specifications, procedures and any other documents necessary to execute the Department’s mission.  Provide clear comments as requested in time to be useful to the customer.  Offer solutions when objecting to the approach that is proposed.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of the concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques of Materials – Contracts.
  • Knowledge of engineering design, construction, production and/or operations.

 

Skills in:

  • Using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments.

 

Ability to:

  • Operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data.
