JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Beaver is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Office of Admissions and Student Aid. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the team and performing other essential administrative duties in support of the recruitment and retention of students. This position will include human resources, finance, and day-to-day problem-solving in a variety of areas as well as event planning, financial aid support and other administrative functions. The position will supervise student workers and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Admissions and Student Aid Office.
This position requires a high school diploma or higher (associate degree preferred) and 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office365, financial systems, and strong organization skills are strongly preferred.
The successful candidate must have good attention to detail, provide good customer service, and have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/oral communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and have the ability to work in a collaborative team-based work environment.
The successful candidate will be flexible and willing to embrace new opportunities. Must have demonstrated commitment to diversity and be able to work independently. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
