Overview
This Consulting Fall Internship program is a flexible, paid internship within our Consulting Risk Practice in the Financial Services area. This position is available for students who are seeking hands-on internal audit experience with a Fortune 100 Best Company. Interns will work at a nearby Crowe office for a minimum of 20 hours per week through a flexible schedule created by the student, based on their classes and other commitments, from Monday - Friday, typically between the hours of 8am-7pm.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Joining our Consulting Risk practice is an opportunity to help make the world more honest, transparent, safe, and secure. You will help Crowe Consulting teams implement effective solutions to help clients manage the full spectrum of risks. Project team areas include risk and control evaluation and development, compliance reviews, internal audits, technology audits and operational processes. Day to day responsibilities will primarily involve control testing, which is an audit procedure used to determine whether a client’s internal controls effectively prevent or create risk.
EXPECTATIONS
- Students seeking bachelor’s degree in any of the following majors: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or Information Technology.
- This internship does not involve coding, software development, or related technical programming tasks. The role focuses on IT assurance, application and general control audit testing.
- Exhibit effective communication skills when consulting with your supervisor and management teams
- Learn and work well in both a team and independent environment
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word and Excel
- Ability and desire to work in a demanding and deadline-driven environment
- Understand business processes within an organization in relation to proper internal controls and their execution
- Create and deliver value-added reports and projects through strong deliverables that simplify complex issues and enable sustainable risk management practices for our clients
- Collaborate and develop strong relationships with colleagues and communities
- Be comfortable sharing innovative ideas and solutions
- Effectively manage time and adapt to a continuously changing risk environment
EXPENSES
- Daily travel expenses from your location to Crowe office will not be reimbursed by the company.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Minimum 20 hours per week;
- Flexibility to work around your class schedule;
- Available work days are Monday to Friday.
