The role

At Eight Sleep, we believe our people and culture are our secret sauce. In order to continue growing our world-class team, we’re looking for a Head of Performance who can help further build out and codify Eight Sleep's high-performance culture. This individual should think of hiring and people management like a product, optimizing for a top-notch “customer” experience that sources, attracts, and develops the best talent across the globe while also optimizing internal processes by implementing the latest AI-powered tools and systems.

We prefer someone based out of our NYC HQ.

How you’ll contribute

• Work closely with the CEO on all people and talent related matters 

• Design the end-to-end hiring, onboarding, and integration process leveraging first principles thinking 

• Lead the recruiting process for key hires with velocity and intensity 

• Research and implement opportunities to integrate the latest AI and technology throughout every division of our organization, helping us to operate more efficiently through "digital talent"

• Lead people analytics/dashboarding to measure people and talent and internal AI initiatives (e.g., recruiting metrics, performance metrics, AI-driven time optimizations, etc.)

• Build out Eight Sleep’s employer brand strategy, including launching an international recruiting arm 

• Design a performance review process that optimizes for maximum efficiency and impact 

What you need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, business operations, people operations, recruiting, or talent 

• Experience taking projects from 0-1 with little oversight and ability to articulate the why's and how's 

• Strong project management skills and ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives

• Data mindset

• Hard-working and high-intensity

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to synthesize complex information and data to inform decision making

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
