Operations Supervisor-Airfreight

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

               

• Responsible of statistics and KPI´s of operational performance in the hub
• Responsible, supervise and increase operational excellence, space optimization and best in class costing with 3rd party cargo handling agent
• Supervise and organize pallet build up and improve quality of all involved parties
• Manage handling providers and improve process and relationship
• Responsible for projects and Special cargo in DE  
• To support initiatives to further improve Consol benefit (cargo mix, yield management, etc.) and actively assist on Crane Network expansion in coordination with Airfreight Operations Manager
• To ensure Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level
• Irregularity Support
• ULD Management
• X-Ray and DGR check supervision if applicable
• Process and close MAWB for consolidations and B2B AWB’s if necessary.
• Timely information towards capacity team of all additional cost which could occur due any kind of circumstances (i.e., DGR rejection, loan of special equipment….)

• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands seem necessary.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
• Ability to multi-task with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time manager with ability to prioritize without direction.
• Excellent problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to travel up to 30% of time.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of global forwarding experience

 

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
