What You Will Do:

The Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Principal Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization.  

  • Serve as CDS Agile Product Manager for 24K programs within SAFe Agile Framework
  • Act as the internal voice of the Customer (Understand Variant needs, IPMT direction, customer expectations)
  • Work with Business Owner (CIPT) and System Architect to convert vision into meaningful Program Features
  • Work with Customers and Product Owners to understand and communicate feature acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and communicate prioritized 24K program level backlog
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (Including Program Increment (PI planning, Product Owner (PO) Sync, Sprint Reviews)
  • Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking
  • Actively participate in feature design reviews 
  • Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM) and track Earned Value (EV)


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and minimum 10+ years prior relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and minimum 7+ years experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework  
  • Prior safety critical software development experience  
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B   
  • Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design  
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Background in controls, real-time systems software and safety critical work
  • Active Security Clearance
