MES implementation Intern

Just is seeking a motivated and creative intern who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics.  Seeking a motivated candidate to join a fast-paced, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team to support the J.POD biochemical manufacturing facility.  The specific project is to help with the conversion of paper Manufacturing Batch Records (MBRs) into electronic Batch Records (eBRs) as part of a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) implementation.  The successful candidate will have a strong basis in STEM topics such engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, physics and/or computer science.  No previous lab experience required.  The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communications skills, works well independently and in teams, and is highly motivated.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a manager to evaluate all the digital Manufacturing Execution System (MES) workflows for the Manufacturing and MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) departments and compare them to the current existing paper formats. 
• Identify where there are potential gaps or rule violations and make recommendations to support engineers for fixes.
• Engage and interact with stakeholders and internal customers to identify the highest priority workflows
• End of internship presentation to the Manufacturing and MSAT departments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working towards a BS in Engineering, Biochemistry or other scientific field
• Excellent interpersonal skills and motivation

Note: This is a paid 12 week fixed-term internship located onsite at our Redmond facility. This position is open to all undergraduate students legally authorized to work in the United States based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship, benefits or relocation for internships. The pay for this position is $25.00 per hour.
