Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Specialist Intelligence Analyst. This job reports to the Senior Director of Affiliate Security in the Global Safety and Security (GSS) team of PPFA. The GSS team is responsible for establishing operational standards designed to enhance safety & security throughout the organization, at our offices, and for our staff and guests
Purpose:The Senior Specialist Intelligence Analyst provides intelligence and critical information of potential threats, risks, and tactics facing our organization.  The position provides leaders with the resources needed to make decisions regarding risk mitigation and strategic planning.  They collaborate with internal teams to monitor opposition, conduct research, and provide assessments as needed. Delivery:The Senior Specialist Intelligence Analyst will monitor, collect, and analyze raw data for tactical and strategic products to expand on baseline threat intelligence, improve competitive intelligence, understand tactics, and to create deliverables for key stakeholders.●Threat & Risk Monitoring ○ Monitor known opposition groups and individuals who pose a threat to Planned Parenthood operations, offices, staff, events, and guests. ○  Identify new opposition groups, individuals, and tactics within the anti-sexual and reproductive health movement who have the potential to pose harm or damage to our mission.  ○  Monitor other conditions, incidents, and risks that may impact the Federation or Planned Parenthood Global (PPG). ● Intelligence Research and Analysis ○  Conduct analysis on opposition traffic on social media and open sources to identify potential risks to the Planned Parenthood Federation, PP Global and sexual reproductive health partners.  ○  Conduct strategic and tactical analysis on opposition activity to share with leadership, key work streams at PPFA, across the 50 states, and in PP Global. ○   Conduct research and remain cognizant of risks to Federation safety, programs, and operations. ● Assessments and Reporting ○ Process large amounts of data into clear, concise analysis in order to assist in the identification of potential risk, threats, and/or impacts to safety, mission-critical work, and operations. ○  Deliver written products to senior management and other pertinent parties in order to convey potential risks, including but not limited to physical, operational, brand, political, digital, advocacy, and legal. This individual will be expected to create professionally written products that may be shared to a broader audience, based on operational protocols and needs. ●Proactive Research ○ Study emerging, terrorist, and extremist organizations to understand tactics and to identify potential violent factions. Engagement:The candidate will have a collaborative mindset and work to promote an organizational culture that embraces diversity as a core value guiding strategic planning, program implementation and evaluation, staffing, and internal and external relationships.  They will:● Collaborate with key stakeholders on monitoring, research, and mitigation strategies involving opposition activities and incidents. ● Engage with other work streams to build out collaborative scenario planning, discussions, and response plans. ● Complete special projects as assigned and required by the GSS Deputy Chief Operating Officer and/or the Senior Director of Affiliate Security.  ●  Promote an organizational culture that embraces diversity as a core value guiding strategic planning, program implementation and evaluation, staffing, and in
