Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director Sales Operations is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training sales representatives in order to increase in the number of Veteran Affairs funded patients admitted for services as well as increasing the revenues of the agency while maintaining a small productive territory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or health related field preferred; will consider relevant experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a field sales role or sales management role.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Not applicable.
SKILLS:
Interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills with ability to communicate both written and verbal
Practical and theoretical knowledge of home health and/or hospice
Demonstrates active involvement in professional organizations and community activities
Satisfies expectations and requirements of external customers
Demonstrates a clear understanding of how the referral source makes decisions
Demonstrates compliance with accurate, timely and pertinent information
Skilled in conflict resolution
Responds to suggestion constructively
Knowledge of healthcare industry is preferred
TRANSPORTATION: Must have a dependable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with the laws of the State.
TRAVEL: Overnight travel 15%.
HEALTH STATUS: Meets all applicable agency policies and procedures related to health screening and required testing.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring’s board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Personal Care Services team.
Leads VA account development including direct involvement with major regional accounts, large hospitals, healthcare systems, physician practices, managed care organizations, employer consortiums, and other referral sources.
Oversees that the patient care coordinator staff documents sales activity per corporate standards including pre-call plans, schedules, account profiles, weekly mileage, and action plans, etc.
Educates physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, regarding regulations of home care & hospice industry, agency policies, and informs vendors on scope of service.
