Sentara Obici Hospital is currently seeking an experienced full time Night Shift Respiratory Team Lead to join their team in Suffolk, VA!

Sentara Obici Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility located in Suffolk, Virginia. This 172-bed, full-service hospital continues a legacy of providing residents of Western Tidewater with high-quality, patient-centered care. In June 2010, Sentara Obici opened a new three-story, 63,480 square-foot wing, which includes all private beds serving orthopedic, medical and surgical patients and increased the hospital’s bed capacity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 Years in Respiratory Care, Supervisory experience a plus
  • Associates Level Degree

Duties to include but not limited to:

Working in staffing, with time outside of staffing, as treatment count dictates.

Ordering supplies and equipment

Stock supplies

Ensure equipment is patient ready (eqpt cleaned and set up appropriately)

Schedule

Day-to-day staffing needs

Staff skills training/check-offs

Internal chart audits

Job Summary

Demonstrates proficiency in respiratory clinical practice and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of respiratory care. Under the direction of the department director, manager, and team coordinator, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increases staff satisfaction and promotes excellent customer service.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree required. Active RRT/RCP License Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty

Qualifications:

ALD - Associate's Level Degree: Respiratory Therapy (Required), BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Respiratory Therapy (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Certification - National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
