About the role

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Learning and Development Business Partner is a trusted advisor to departmental leadership and responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of learning products and programs by designing approaches to measure learners' reactions, the amount of learning and application that took place and the impact on the business result. The incumbent will identify and amplify stories of impact to showcase proof points of what's working well and how it is impacting business results. The Senior Learning and Development Business Partner will travel to various locations to ensure our workforce is equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to excel and collaborate closely with business units, Area leadership, Human Resources (HR), and other key stakeholders to align learning initiatives with key business objectives. The incumbent will manage learning initiatives around a continuous cycle of needs analysis, design, project management, delivery, and evaluation to help lead culture change through processes that support organizational learning including the continual enhancement of our performance evaluation process.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships with business, vendors, trainers, consultants and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment between Learning & Development and the business.
  • In partnership with stakeholders, conducts needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning requirements in alignment with business priorities. Partners with HR and other departments to develop, integrate, and implement learning initiatives in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, and evaluates learning program. Provides ongoing support and coaching to teams to reinforce learning and drive performance improvements. Evaluates the effectiveness of learning programs and works with instructional design team to make adjustments as needed.
  • Develops standardized learning management processes and procedures, templates, and branding for curriculum.
  • Serves as a change management consultant to the business, implementing identified learning measurement strategies for all training deliverables and guiding them through organization level changes by providing necessary resources and guidance.
  • Visits various business sites to conduct on-site learning sessions and provide support.
  • Ensures all curriculum is tracked and learning outcomes and performance metrics are reported on. Uses data and feedback to continuously improve learning programs and support strategies.
  • Conveys a personal commitment to Learning & Development embracing continuous development and mastering new skills (and helping others to do the same).
  • Coaches new Learning Business Partners and peers on to support their onboarding, skill development, and best practice implementation.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent Microsoft suite and presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivated diverse and senior level audiences.
  • Broad and deep understanding of industry standard tools (i.e.. Microsoft Suite, Articulate, Canva, LMS applications, etc.)
  • Coaching and mentoring in a matrixed environment.
  • Consultative skills with the ability to build relationships and trust with business partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and apply new technology to create valuable learning solutions

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 7 - 10 Years of overall relevant work experience preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 4 - 7 Years of overall relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience in the industry, instructional design and development, performance consulting, and facilitation within a corporate team environment, or equivalent.
