The Academy was created in 2021 after it was apparent that prospective employees were ill prepared for the eco-science building industry. The Academy has changed that by preparing graduates to be ready on day one in their new careers. This program is provided at no cost to participants through a full scholarship and is designed for individuals interested in starting a career in the clean energy and building trades, with a focus on improving home comfort, efficiency, and sustainability.<br><br>This is a career training and job readiness program, not a traditional class. Participants who successfully complete the program will earn industry-recognized certifications, including BPI Building Science Principles, BPI Healthy Housing Principles, BPI Air Leakage Control Installer, and Department of Labor OSHA 10.
