Job Description
Responsible for providing strategic leadership over two or more IT areas, building relationships with UMMS Leadership, clinical and business stakeholders, IS&T colleagues, and vendors all while supporting strong alignment as systems are implemented, optimized and supported. Also responsible for special projects in support of Executive Leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Informatics, Healthcare Administration, a relevant health care field or other appropriate and closely related field. Four years of equivalent work experience (in addition to the 10 years required in Bullet 3) may be used to satisfy the degree requirement.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Informatics, Healthcare Administration, a relevant health care field or other appropriate and closely related field is preferred.
- Ten (10) years of healthcare experience, or equivalent, is required to include:
- Minimum (5) five years working in information systems development and implementation, or equivalent, is required.
- Seven (7) years of management/supervisory experience required.
- Experience leading multiple/large multifaceted clinical and/or technical projects preferred.
