Medical Biller

Description

University Physicians' Association is looking for a Medical Biller for UT Gastroenterology located at the UT Medical Center. 

This position’s key responsibilities:

• Review patient medical records, encounter forms, and other documentation to accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered.
• Utilize appropriate coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to assign codes that comply with insurance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to claim submission.
• Investigate and resolve claim rejections, coding errors, and other issues contributing to payment delays or denials.
• Educate providers on any coding issues and resolve any coding errors in a timely manner. 
• Help with referrals for GI procedures

Requirements

• Experience with Medical coding is a must. GI coding experience is a plus
