Sr. Trading Pit Market Reporter

As a Sr. Market Reporter you’ll communicate and interact with open outcry trading pit participants and CME Group staff to support the positive resolution of business issues. You’ll continuously capture and disseminate market price information with accuracy and speed during slow to active markets with minimal oversight. You'll also demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the rules, procedures and policies developed by CME Group ensuring the integrity and openness of our markets.

What you’ll do?

• Capture quotes and interpret open outcry, and utilize verification methods (callback/hand signals) with the awareness of not violating the Bid/ Ask. 

• Demonstrate complete understanding of the rules and procedures of quote adjustments as well as a thorough knowledge of Pit Committee structure and conflict of interest issues. 

• Ensure the accuracy of assigned settlements utilizing available tools and resources. 

• Type quotes accurately and efficiently. 

• Work with the Pit Committee and key membership to expedite quote adjustments within established guidelines.

• Strong work ethic with a reliable track record of being punctual and present. 

• Effective written and verbal communication skills e.g. high typing speed accuracy.

• Software proficiency: ability to learn proprietary reporting systems. 

• Physical requirements: ability to stand for more than 5+ hours a day. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.

The salary range for this role is $56,000-$93,400. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
