BACKGROUND
Purpose of Activity/ Assignment:
The SBC Section in the Programme Group Leadership Team in the Programme Division at UNICEF Headquarters is seeking an individual consultant to support the work on advanced analytics and monitoring of social behaviour change programming. In particular, the consultant will deliver on the following objectives:
- Deploy the analytical model and support the analysis corresponding to the roll-out of Behavioural and Social Drivers of Vaccination surveys across a specific set of countries, including for zero-dose children, improvement of HPV and malaria vaccination.
- Develop and deploy the analytical model for UNICEF’s ‘Internet of Good Things’ tool results.
- Develop and deploy the analytical and monitoring model for UNICEF’s community engagement mapping and for the Harmful Behaviors and Violence Against Children behavioral surveys study.
- Support the roll-out and dissemination of Implementation Toolkit for Monitoring for Social and Behaviour Change Programming as it pertains to data analysis and its visualization components, including for Community Rapid Assessments designs, for national data systems needs maps (i.e. health statistical data) and for sample design of technical surveys.
- Provides technical advice for in-field support for training for SBC UNICEF programme officers and partners
The Social and Behavior Change Data, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist in the SBC team will be the contract supervisor. The consultant will work closely with programme specialists in the Social and Behavior Change team, the Demand for Immunization team, and the Child Protection team.
Scope of Work:
The consultant will have the following scope of work:
- Prepare a set of analytical briefs based on the results of the UNICEF’s Behavioural and Social Drivers of Vaccination surveys;
- Develop data visualizations and programmatic insight decks related to UNICEF’s ‘Internet of Good Things’ results;
- Develop insight decks and related monitoring tools for the community engagement mapping of UNICEF programmes and for the Harmful Behaviors and Violence Against Children Behavioral Surveys Study;
- Provide SBC Research Technical Advice for regional offices and country offices designs for SBC research and data analysis related to the deployment of the Implementation Toolkit for Monitoring for Social and Behaviour Change Programming.

Analytical model for UNICEF’s ‘Internet of Good Things’ tool results
- Develop 1 set of Excel and PowerBI templates for live data for IoGT use
- Develop 1 Master Microsoft PowerBI Dashboard, with user data specific for IoGT historical and current data.
- Develop a monitoring framework for Country Office results that captures IoGT implementation and a corresponding PowerBI Dashboard – By 30 November 2024
