Senior Center Tech Operator (Hybrid - Flexible Options)

Broadridge is hiring a Senior Data Center Tech Operator to join its Mainframe Operations team.  You will have an opportunity to work in a hybrid role as an integral part of an even paced team of individuals supporting each other as well as internal clients.  You will be part of a team that performs day to day monitoring of batch and online processes, interfaces with our application development teams to resolve batch job failures, updates SLA documents, works on short and long term projects, and works closely with our client service representatives and application developers using various mainframe tools.  You will have the opportunity to grow and advance while helping Broadridge achieve its mission. 

In this role you will:

• Monitor the Production environment on the mainframe, meet or exceed client and end user expectations by providing 24/7 serviceability and ensuring all SLA's are met.
• Ensures critical jobs begin and end on time and escalate/resolve any bottlenecks as they occur.
• Provides the first line of escalation for any user and batch job failures.
• Ensure that timely issue and call out is established per documented procedures.
• Works with the Application Development teams on the recovery / restart of such failures to limit impact to SLA’s or client expectations.
• Participates in Disaster Recovery tests and any special client tests to ensure the recoverability and integrity of our mainframe batch process. D/R tests occur 5 times per year and client requested tests occur on demand.  
• Possesses strong understanding of all daily; weekly and monthly tasks; critical or major processes and ad-hoc requests; all client SLAs requirements and top deliverable expectations.
• Possesses excellent technical skills with MVS JCL, VSAM, TWS (OPC) job scheduler, z/OS Operating system, ISPF, TSO, JES3, Windows, Microsoft Office and problem determination skills. 
• Mentors other team members to share the knowledge, provide guidance and improve their technical/problem determinations skills.
