First shift begins at 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do

The General Maintenance employee is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of the distribution warehouse, ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees while complying with health and safety regulations.

•  Perform regular cleaning, dusting and sanitation tasks in and around the warehouse as directed
• Operate power floor sweeper and scrubber to clean floors
• Collect trash and recyclables
• Operate trash compactors and cardboard/plastic bailers to dispose of waste and process recycling
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents and injuries
• Report any safety hazards, sanitation issues or maintenance requirements to the supervisor promptly
• Work with team members and supervisors to ensure the coordination of work
• Ensure that all work is performed to high-quality standards and within specified timelines
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and sanitation standards

 

Required for Success

• Proven experience in sanitation or custodial work
• Ability to use cleaning equipment  and chemicals safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
• Able to work in various environmental conditions
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to adhering to safety guideline
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and bending
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate successfully with supervisors and coworkers
