About the role

We are looking for a Regional Marketing Associate Director (US-West Coast) to join our US team. You will drive the regional marketing strategy and monitoring the overall performance of the marketing activities in the assigned territories in the US West Coast in line with the company’s global strategic priorities to generate growth. 

In this role you work closely with the global team while being deeply integrated into the regional needs and in close alignment with the central marketing teams.

You will have the opportunity to work with both the broader marketing team, and the Americas Region (AMR) commercial teams to represent the regional perspective in global marketing operations projects, ensuring that the technology and analytics delivered meet business needs. Strong and active engagement and collaboration with key partners is critical, in and outside of the Americas commercial organization.
 

The Details…

This role will support and implement the company’s global marketing and sales focused strategies in the assigned US West Coast territories. This includes identifying regional business growth needs and developing the regional marketing plan and strategy with key global and regional stakeholders to contribute to pipeline and revenue.

You will be working with the global marketing team to prioritise and establish marketing support across the region, reporting on marketing performance, and making data-centric action plans to increase the overall pipeline and revenue in AMR.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans in the assigned territories focusing on growing sales and increasing profitability aligned to the company’s strategic priorities.
  • Use regional market knowledge and customer insights, execute measurable integrated global campaigns in the region, including demand generation programs and events that drive demand across the customer journey. 
  • Understand the regional market trends, with regional commercial leaders to identify short- and longer-term opportunities for our technology and products to support the region’s growth.
  • Pilot, incubate, iterate profitable local programs/initiatives, and execute global marketing commercial marketing programs in the region.
  • Follow the central marketing guideline, ensure the company’s core value, brand, ethos and tone of voice are applied and consistent.
  • Support Regional Marketing Operation team to formulate and monitor budget allocated for marketing plan execution.
  • Work with the central marketing team, provide local competitor information with a set of sales tools which help regional sales teams to position and sell the company’s product portfolio.
  • Support the delivery of marketing materials/collaterals (digital and print; English and/or translated) as appropriate in the region. 
  • Support sales by attending customers meetings and presentations as appropriate.
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities, including expectation management on multiple projects. 
  • Any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.

What We're Looking For…

  • Solid understanding of the U.S life science /genomic sequencing market. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business or Marketing.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in marketing, demonstrable experience in development of strategic and execution of tactical marketing plans.
  • Experience in working with distributors, dealers and channel partners.
  • Working in a global and matrixed environment
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms/SFDC.
  • Excellent organization and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work efficiently with external agencies and internal stakeholders, with an eye for details.
  • Strong project management skills and a passion for driving activities to a high-reaching timescale.
  • A detailed, focused, and analytical approach to problem solving.

This role is US Homeworker based on the West Coast. 

The salary for this role is between $120,034 and $180,050 USD. The salary offered will reflect the skills and experience of the candidate. 

Certain roles within ONT are eligible for annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
