POSITION SUMMARY
As a Technical Operator, you will have the opportunity to work in one of three factory departments: Packaging, Processing, or Batching, Unloading, Slurrying. You will contribute to safe and efficient operation of the respective department by safely producing quality products at the right rate and right time, using Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) processes and tools. In addition, you will play a key role in monitoring and operating equipment, leading troubleshooting and making adjustments to provide optimal equipment and quality performance based on data or sampling. This position will require adherence to key standard routines and adjusting only as a valid action in response to problem solving. You will maintain all aspects of the equipment by providing area expertise, be capable of certifying as a Trainer, and ensure that the systems are continuously supplied with raw materials as well as sampling and unloading in a safe manner using appropriate equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely operate, monitor and problem-solve throughout the Batching, Unloading, Slurrying/Packaging/Processing area, including materials receiving, delivery of material, processing, supply of packaging materials, and maintaining sanitation to high standards as issues are identified.
• Load and unload any materials, maintaining accurate inventory data through proper data entry and following all procedures, ensure proper applications ensuring quality materials are delivered to Packaging/Processing.
• Perform Preventative Standard Routines to include performance of basic lubrication, repairs, inspection, and identify defects to complete or coordinate repairs.
• Ensure that products meet all quality standards by monitoring production parameters, sampling/testing and responding accordingly.
• Make all necessary adjustments to equipment, including changeovers as necessary.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, by participating on Continuous Improvement teams and identifying improvement opportunities independently.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments to maintain production requirements, may require staggering or delaying breaks.
• Perform calibration and verification activities for scales and other tools for measurement.
• Rotate positions with others in respective department
• Other duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma/GED equivalent with 6 months’ experience in a fast-paced and performance-measured environment
OR
• Associates degree in a technical discipline
PREFERRED
• SAP experience
