OR Materials Management Associate - FT - MMC

JOB PURPOSE:
Primarily responsible for the data management of ordering, inventorying, and monitoring the supplies needed for all surgical cases. Works closely with the Asst. OR Materials Manager on cost saving initiatives, product conversions, and physical inventories.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Performs daily reorder process for the Operating Room implant inventory.
2. Generate and analyze reports to manage, coordinate and execute supply management.
3. Managing all supply replenishment report functionality based upon surgical volumes, including forecasting supply orders based upon Operating Room Surgery schedule.
4. Ensures material availability and delivery.
5. Strong customer service skills and interdepartmental communication skills.
6. Provides back up coverage for the processes of ordering, distributing and inventorying supplies/equipment.
7. Assisting with all aspects of scheduled physical inventories, including preparation, coordination and execution.
8. Analyze reports and utilize systems to manage and coordinate departmental materials.
9. Ensures materials management data integrity across all systems.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare materials management highly preferred
3. Materials Management certification (APICS), preferred
COMPETENCIES:
1. Experience with EPIC, POU, Oracle, and reporting applications, Microsoft 365
2. Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong medical supply knowledge.
4. Individual must be customer and employee focused.
5. Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task.
6. Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 30lbs.
